As you are probably aware, from 25th May 2018, all businesses which handle personal information are required, by law, to produce a privacy notice (GDPR), for all patients. We would be grateful if you would read the following:

  • This clinic requires your personal and health details in order to provide the best possible treatment. You have the right not to provide these details; however, without them we are unable to provide treatment.
  • Your information may be used to contact you from time to time but only for legitimate reasons relating to your course of treatment.
  • Your information will never be shared with anyone outside this clinic without your written permission.
  • We are legally obliged to retain your records for a minimum of 8 years from the date of your most recent visit, (or age 25 if this is longer) after this time, you may request that your records be destroyed.
  • Your records are stored only on paper and are kept in locked filing cabinets, in a locked room, outside office hours. We have no electronic database.
  • All electronic communications (emails etc) will be printed and kept with your records and the original communication will be deleted.
  • The only people who will have access to your details are your practitioner and out trusted reception staff.
  • You are free to withdraw your consent to use your details at any time.
